365 Days In Nature - December 2013

I began taking a nature photo on the 1st of January this year.
My goal is to take one every day for the whole year.
A few months into it I decided to start a Facebook group to share our nature photos.
It has grown to 200 members from all around the world.
And it's the best group on Facebook.
No, I'm not at all biased!
If you want to join us, you can find us here... 365 Days In Nature

1/12 Day 335 - I'm absolutely dying to grow some of these in our new garden. This one was in my mother-in-law's street.

2/12 Day 336 - Nothing says Summer quite like Frangipanis!

3/12 Day 337 - A pretty pink Bougainvillea against the blue sky.

4/12 Day 338 - I know that Cat's Claw Creeper is an awful noxious weed around here, but you have to admit it does look pretty in flower while it's strangling this poor palm tree.

5/12 Day 339 - The early morning photographer catches the bird!

6/12 Day 340 - A mosquito on my Christmas bauble!! Nasty little creature!

7/12 Day 341 - Saturday Theme: Weather.  The weather today is beautiful blue skies with a touch of Poincianas!

8/12 Day 342 - Another red flowering tree. I love the little red bells of the Illawarra Flame Tree.

9/12 Day 343 - I was really happy with this shot of the moon that I took last night.

10/12 Day 344 - These were an absolutely gorgeous bunch of roses from the garden of one of my Prep students as part of my Christmas gift. Even though they're looking a little tired and almost spent...I thought they still had a certain charm.

11/12 Day 345 - A sunny yellow dandelion, growing on our garden path.

12/12 Day 346 - It's raining!

13/12 Day 347 - My Crepe Myrtle is blooming!!

14/12 Day 348 - Saturday Theme: Black & White. Guess what...

15/12 Day 349 - I loved the afternoon sunlight on this tree and the storm clouds in the background.

16/12 Day 350 - A pretty and unusual hibiscus in Mum's garden that Dad pointed out to me because he knew I'd like to photograph it.

17/12 Day 351 - A stunning red rosebud from my Aunty Rose's garden.

18/12 Day 352 - Mum has a baby bottle tree in her garden. I love it!

19/12 Day 353 - Last night I took my Miss 6 for a drive to see the Christmas lights on our house. As a bonus I snapped this, dusk over our town with the evening star, can you see it?

20/12 Day 354 - Here's another one from two nights ago.

21/12 Day 355 - Saturday Theme: Christmas. I was given this by one of my Preps. It is 'the' Christmas plant!

22/12 Day 356 - The golden cane's flower spike has tiny flowers all over it! I've not seen ours do this before.

23/12 Day 357 - A wild passionfruit growing over our lillypillies.

24/12 Day 358 - Almost ready! I got my husband to pick it for me (I couldn't reach it!) before the bats got to it. The flying foxes are having a feast in our mango tree every night.

25/12 Day 359 - The lovely view on our walk to the beach after Christmas lunch at Caloundra today.

26/12 Day 360 - Gorgeous sunset at the farm and my husband's favourite mountain to climb.

27/12 Day 361 - The same mountain as yesterday, Mt Barney, from a different view point...the scenic lookout at Kooralbyn.

28/12 Day 362 - Saturday Theme: Insects. You might be cute, little grasshopper, but please stop eating our lemon tree!!

29/12 Day 363 - Another one from the farm. I asked my husband to stop the car as we drove past the dam to take a photo of the pelican. And as I wound the window down the ducks flew off...so I got the pelican and the ducks in flight...perfect!

30/12 Day 364 - The Bottlebrush and the Crepe Myrtle...side by side in my garden.

31/12 Day 365 - Well, it's here. The final day of my 365 Days in Nature project! And I'm finishing off with some pretty pink flowers in my neighbour's garden. FAREWELL 2013!
