365 Days of Man's Mark on the World - April 2014

At the beginning of 2013 I began a 365 Project called 365 Days In Nature.
This year I'm continuing that one and starting a new one called 365 Days of Man's Mark on the World.
My goal is to take a photo of something man made every day for the whole year.
I've started a Facebook group to share our photos.
If you want to join us, you can find us here... 365 Days of Man's Mark on the World

Day 91 - 1st Apr - This train began its life as a bus in Brisbane! Apparently they made too many so converted some to train engines...clever!!

Day 92 - 2nd Apr - Stepping through this gate is like stepping back in time...

Day 93 - 3rd Apr - Big locomotive wheels!

Day 94- 4th Apr - This one is called "The Silver Bullet", you can probably see why!

Day 95 - 5th Apr - Weekend/Weekly Theme: Toys - We went for a family outing to Kilkivan, Miva, Theebine and Bauble. Miss 6 saw this toy in a collectibles shop in Kilkivan this morning and just had to have it!

Day 96 - 6th Apr - One of my 9 year old boy's favourite toys.

Day 97 - 7th Apr - My Miss 6's favourite toy. I made "Reina" the red nosed reindeer for her at Christmas time last year and she takes her everywhere we go now.

Day 98 - 8th Apr - Thomas hasn't had a run lately, but when the little neighbour came over for a play yesterday...out came the box. It was good to see them again. We had such fun collecting them!

Day 99 - 9th Apr - Another collection that my 9 year old boy was obsessed with when he was 2 - 5 was "Cars". Although I must say, his mum and dad were probably just as obsessed with buying new cars!

Day 100 - 10th Apr - These are not Miss 6's favourite toys, but I love Minnie because I had a Minnie Mouse that I loved when I was a child. I got it from Disney on Ice which was one of the very few family outings we had. I wish I had have kept her...I didn't keep a single toy from my childhood.

Day 101 - 11th Apr - When I was a kid, all I ever wanted for my birthday or Christmas was a new doll. I didn't have many, most little girls didn't way back then. So I am loving my little girl's doll collection...especially the baby princess dolls!

Day 102 - 12th Apr - Weekend/Weekly Theme: Bridges - The old Dickabram Bridge is one of only two rail & road bridges in Australia and the only one in Queensland. It is near Miva, not too far from Gympie, and is 191m long and stands 23m above the Mary River. It was built in 1886.

Day 103 - 13th Apr - This is the deck of the same bridge you saw in yesterday's photo. My son and I walked right to the other end. It was very rickety, especially when cars crossed and the gaps were big enough for me to see to the ground or river which was a long way down...I felt a little woozy by the end!

Day 104 - 14th Apr - You may have guessed by now that I'm sticking with the Dickabram Bridge all week. I don't have many other bridge photos and we just visited this one last week. It's a lovely picnic spot. This was the view of the bridge looking up as we walked across it.

Day 105 - 15th Apr - The next photo from the Dickabram Bridge is the approach on the old railway tracks...they ended right behind me.

Day 106 - 16th Apr - Another view of the bridge from on the bridge...

Day 107 - 17th Apr - The same bridge again, from down low.

Day 108 - 18th Apr - The final Dickabram Bridge photo...

Day 109 - 19th Apr - Theme: Fenced In - Yesterday after our picnic, we took the scenic route home via Kin Kin. I loved these fences on the hills...

Day 110 - 20th Apr - Fenced In: Our fence line at our block of land...there's a creek on the other side.

Day 111 - 21st Apr - Fenced in at the farm.

Day 112 - 22nd Apr - Fenced In...at the beach.

Day 113 - 23rd Apr - Fenced In...some old cattle yards.

Day 114 - 24th Apr - Fenced In - A misty morning at the farm.

Day 115 - 25th Apr - Fenced In...kind of...behind the 'fence' of the hay feeder...

Day 116 - 26th Apr - Theme: Windows/Chimneys/Doorways - Pretty windows on the beautiful big old Queenslander on the corner of our street.

Day 117 - 27th Apr - This is a Queensland style chimney. Not big or fancy, and hardly ever used.

Day 118 - 28th Apr - The doorway into our local church.

Day 119 - 29th Apr - Some beautiful windows inside our church.

Day 120 - 30th Apr - The doorways at the local fire station are pretty impressive!
